Types of Swim Goggles, Explained: Eyeline's Ten Categories

Ten swim goggle categories — competition, hybrid, training, fitness, mask, corrective, junior, kids — and the engineering brief that defines each. Written for brand managers picking where a new SKU sits. Each category gets the brief our toolmakers actually work from: frame size, gasket profile, lens curvature, strap system. The closing decision guide pins down where a new model should sit before any tooling money is spent.

OEM vs ODM vs Private Label — Three Ways to Source Swim Goggles, and How to Choose

OEM, ODM, and Private Label swim goggle programs cost differently, take different lead times, and suit different brands. Here's how to choose without overpaying for either. It maps each route to a real situation: testing a new category, running an in-house design team, having a clear vision but no engineering bench, or scaling a range that already sells. It also answers what procurement actually asks — what a DFM review catches, how much of an ODM brief the factory expects you to write, and where it's safe to economize on the mold.

Ranges

Browse by category

What separates the models within each range: frame size, gasket profile, nosepiece and headband. Lens tint, mirror finish, anti-fog coating, colors and packaging are options on every model.

Competition swim goggles

Ultra-low-profile racing frames with L-Profile 3D gaskets and racing-style dual headbands routed through an extension arm. Jetstream has three nosepiece sizes; Invicta, a compact Swedish-style frame, has five. Lens tint, mirror finish and anti-fog coating are specified per order, as they are across the catalog.

Training swim goggles

Medium and small training frames for squad, club and regular lap-swimming ranges. The medium frames include Aqua and Aquarius in TPE and silicone gasket versions, Flo with a rounded lens, Trix with an L-Profile gasket for open-water briefs, and Glide with an ultra-wide gasket. The small frames suit smaller faces, with fixed-bridge (Storm, Vortex) and three-nosepiece (Torrent, Beams) options.

Fitness swim goggles

Large and medium adult frames for recreational and lap-swimming ranges. Surge, Neptune and Zevo have three nosepiece sizes; Flux, Typhoon, Cyfer, Vida, Infini and Captain use one-piece construction with a fixed bridge. Several models, including Captain, Typhoon and Vida, accept custom frame prints as well as a side logo.

Hybrid swim goggles

Blade, Slash and Venom share an L-Profile 3D gasket, racing-style dual headbands and three nosepiece sizes in a compact, low-profile frame. Slash is the larger fit and Venom the most angular, so one specification can cover training and race use in different looks.

Junior and kids swim goggles

Junior models are listed for ages 6–13 and scale down adult designs, so club and brand artwork can run across adult and junior products. Kids' models are listed for ages 2–8, and most accept prints on both frame and headband. Torrent Junior and Pico add three nosepiece sizes. Age ranges are a selection guide; confirm fit on samples with the intended age group.

Wide-vision swim mask

Panora is a mask-style swim goggle with one continuous lens and no center nose bridge. Its ultra-large C-Profile 3D gasket rests on the cheekbones and brow, and the wide strap closes with a one-handed click-release buckle. It gives recreational and aqua-fitness ranges an alternative to twin-lens formats.

Corrective lens swim goggles

Two corrective-lens frames for optical retail and range extensions. Aquity uses snap-in interchangeable lenses, so frames and lens powers can be stocked separately; Oracle holds inserts behind a removable side clip in a plainer frame. Available diopters and left/right combinations are confirmed for your program.

Catalog ordering questions

Short answers for sourcing teams. The manufacturing FAQ covers each topic in more detail.
Can I customize these swim goggles for my brand?

Yes. Every catalog model can be used as a private label base. Options include lens tint, mirror finishes, anti-fog coating, gasket, frame and strap colors, logo print positions, and retail or bulk packaging. Which options apply, and the minimum quantity for each, depend on the model and configuration; send the model names and options you want and we confirm them in your quotation.

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on the model, the quantity per color, and the coating and packaging you choose. As an indication, catalog models in catalog colors can be ordered from 300 pieces per color per model, with a surcharge below the standard 2,000-piece level. Custom color matching and corrective-lens orders are reviewed separately. The quantity and conditions that apply to your order are confirmed in your quotation.

What is the lead time?

Lead time depends on the sample type, the level of customization, materials, coating and the production slot. Your quotation sets out separate dates for catalog samples, branded samples, pre-production approval and bulk production, and states which approval each one depends on.

Do you sell direct to consumers?

No. Eyeline is an OEM and ODM manufacturer, and this catalog is for brand partners, retailers, distributors and sourcing teams. There is no online retail checkout; use the contact page for manufacturing and wholesale inquiries.

What documents cover these swim goggles?

Factory certificates and product test reports answer different questions. The factory holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management-system certificates. ISO 18527-3 test reports from Bureau Veritas apply to the models and configurations tested, and CE and FDA documentation is matched to the model and destination market. The Compliance page lists the available documents.
